Online business model is changing very fast. Even in case of organic traffic, webmasters are more interested in getting niche visitors rather than getting a lot of visitors. But how do you determine if the visitors are representing your niche? How do you determine that they are the prospective customers of your product? However, as long as the website is reaching sales target, most of the business owners do not really bother about quality of the traffic. And thus there is an attitude to reach as many people as possible. These sorts of marketing strategies are nothing but beating around the bush. You must not forget that, you are spending money and time to acquire every visitor in your website. So, what if you could concentrate all your efforts to acquire more targeted visitors! It could be easy for you to get a better return on investment. So, what is a niche? To put it simply, your market niche is people who would be interested to buy your product. And if you think from branding perspective, your niche is people who would believe in your story and would act in your interest. Now, when you are working to get more visitors, you are not actually working to hit the niche. They have a different story to believe – they have a different worldview. And it is very tough (if not impossible) to convert them into your own worldview. The time you would need to invest for their orientation, can be used to find your niche. The return on investment would definitely be much higher than what you are doing at present. For example, think about a business model where you are selling trendy junk jewelries. Would you like to get visitors from a niche where people are more interested in traditional jewelries? Or would you like to get people who are over 50 years of age? Do you think that it would be easy to convert them to believe in your story and buy your product rather than buying traditional jewelries? What if you invest same resources to find the younger generation who are already oriented to buy junk jewelries? Now, here is the big challenge – how do you understand if the visitors in your website represent your niche or not? Only sales volume can not determine it. There might be different reasons for which your business volume is going down. Any seasoned marketer knows that having targeted visitors is not good enough for better conversion. You need to work smart to convert even those who are already oriented or believe in your story. A lot of webmasters would say that, they depend on analytics report to find out if the existing visitors are representing their niche or not. However, analytics report has its own limitations. It can tell you who are visiting your site, their geo location or what they are doing in your site. But it cannot tell you about their orientation. A lot of websites invest a lot of money in surveys to understand their target market. Anyways, before investing your time and money in brand marketing, be sure that you are communicating with your niche. Article Source: http://www.articlesdepositery.com/ |
